I’ve worked as a fashion designer and creative director for more than 20 years, so I really have the inside word on what makes a good quality fabric, what makes a garment fit properly, how to spot a fad trend and how to put an outfit together.

Sustainability in Fashion

Lets bring back that old fashioned virtue of Prudence - making deliberate and wise choices when it comes to buying clothes. The past two decades of fast fashion and online shopping has spoiled us for choice and really, I think that is where a lot of problems have arisen. It’s confusing. Not to mention wasteful!

I like to maintain a smaller wardrobe of good pieces that I’ve thought about, can wear in different ways and add a dash of unique something if I’m in the mood for that. People always compliment me on my “new outfits” when the basis of my wardrobe has remained stable for the past 10 years.
